Back to School
It’s been a fun first couple of days in fourth grade. There’s a lot of catching up with friends and making new friends. Becoming a fourth grader at EFS is an exciting time. This group is up for the challenge of putting their best foot forward and becoming the leaders of Lower School. Be sure to keep an eye on the Lower School News to see all the wonderful things they’re up to this year!
Math Game Madness
Fourth graders have been hard at work practicing their multiplication facts. They’ve put their flash cards away and instead played games—multiplication games, that is. The students have been enjoying playing games like multiplication Top It, Kakooma, and KABOOM! What’s better than mixing learning with fun? If you hear laughter and cheers coming from fourth grade, stop on in and put your facts to the test.
Inspiration Through Creativity
Fourth graders at Elmwood Franklin School dive into writing each year. To kick-start their writing program they needed to get creative and decorate their writer’s notebooks in a way that represented who they are. From family photos, to magazine clippings, to original pieces of art, these notebooks are sure to generate plenty of creativity!
This Just In...
The fourth grade students will be putting their press caps on to become weekly journalists! Each week there will be two journalists joining us at Lower School News. Their jobs will be to explore one event that week, conduct interviews, take pictures and generate a short article to share here on the Lower School News blog. The students are very excited about this opportunity. Keep eye out soon for all of their articles, right here!
