Are you coming down with a cold? If so, third graders can tell you exactly what would happen if you were a member of the Iroquois tribe. Members of the Iroquois False Face society were doctors or healers, known to come to your home to drive away sickness, disease, and evil spirits. To scare away illness these doctors and healers would wear a mask (false face). To replicate the masks, students created false faces of their own using construction paper, glue, and scissors. When you get a free moment, stop down to third grade to check out the false faces on the lockers!
