Library Story Resources and Activities

Try and read for a minimum of 20 minutes each day either alone or with a family member. Below are some activities that correlate with the read aloud titles. 

To keep your place as you read, create a bookmark! Decorate it and draw a picture on one side. Write your name on the other side!

Hi! After you have listened to the read aloud story Bunny Loves To Write by Peter Bently, you could ask permission to go outside in your yard and observe nature. Take a notebook with you and write down some ideas that inspire you! Just like Bunny, you could write about what you see and create some illustrations that tell your story!

Hi! After you have listened to Lady Pancake And Sir French Toast, you might be inspired to make some delicious french toast for breakfast or lunch! You MUST ask a grown up at home for help with this easy recipe!

Easy French Toast Recipe for Kids
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Butter
  • Syrup
 
  1. Add the egg, vanilla and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk it well.
  2. Add the milk next and keep stirring.
  3. Now, take a bread slice and dip it into the egg mixture. Make sure the mixture coats both sides of the bread.
  4. Melt butter in a nonstick pan.
  5. Place the bread in the pan and cook until it turns golden brown on both sides.
  6. Drizzle with syrup and enjoy!
