by Kathleen McIntyre and Alexandra O'Hara Third graders enjoyed a wonderful morning exploring Reinstein Woods. They saw turtles, snakes, frogs, and deer prints! A guide helped our students understand how invasive species are harmful to our native animals and plants. The students were fascinated to learn how invasive species can arrive in an area. The sun was shining and the forest shared its beauty with us!

by Kathleen McIntyre and Alexandra O'Hara Third graders enjoyed a fabulous day exploring the Genesee Country Village. The printer demonstrated the intricacies of creating a flyer or newspaper during colonial times. The pioneer homestead was fascinating with its loft, trundle bed, and cooking pots. Students really loved seeing the pottery wheel spinning and a mug being created. The octagon house and inn are always student favorites! Every third grader wishes we could go again!
by Kathleen McIntyre and Alexandra O'Hara Students presented their Movie Poster Book Reports this week! Each student enjoyed directing or producing their own movie based on the book that they read. They loved casting the lead characters and reviewing the book. Presentations were fabulous. Now they just need to find investors to make the movies!

Each student placed fingerprints randomly in the peace sign. There is a key at the bottom to find your child's fingerprint. Happy Bidding! Third grade is so proud of their auction item.
by Kathleen McIntyre and Kate Lynett 3rd grade is so excited for Mrs. and Mr. Lynett! We cannot wait to meet sweet Sophie! Mrs. Lynett's last day was filled with smiles, tears, hugs, games, and a sweet treat! We miss Mrs. Lynett, but are so thrilled for her and her fabulous new adventures!

The students enjoyed making the toys for the cats at the Buffalo Animal Shelter. Knowing that the cats would have hours of fun and frolicking filled the students' hearts with joy.

Some very famous visitors have continued to pop into third grade. We’re quite lucky to travel back in history to meet such exciting ladies and gentlemen. Take a peek at our celebrity photos! by Alyssa Charles In our geometry unit, Third grades have been learning about transformations. Today we used the reflectors to reflect some art work. Students saw the "flipping" nature of reflections and observed how the reflectors can also help to find lines of symmetry in shapes or pictures.
by Kate Lynett and Kathleen McIntyre Third graders have worked very hard since December learning and memorizing their multiplication facts. Today, students were treated to a sundae party celebrating the fact families! Each piece of the sundae was earned based on the facts each student stated within five seconds. Keep studying multiplication facts for automaticity. The multiplication facts are a building block for each student's future math success!
