At Elmwood Franklin School, we believe that true learning transcends any paper-and-pencil test. We value hands-on discovery, creative thinking, and character development just as much as correct answers. And we offer an enriched program in a caring, supportive environment in which children excel.

From preschool to eighth grade, it all adds up to an educational experience that is truly exceptional.

Come see what's beyond our doors.

The idea behind IDEA (short for Individually Determined Exploration Area) is to give the eighth grade students an opportunity to use the reading, writing, and research skills they've gained in their years at EFS and apply them to a creative, interdisciplinary, long-term inquiry project.

As they presented their projects to teachers, classmates, and parents, our eighth graders proved to themselves and the school community just how much they can do and discover.
