Dining Service

Lunch and snack are included as part of our all-inclusive tuition and are available to all students whether or not they bring a lunch from home.

Elmwood Franklin School provides a daily snack and lunch that balances our students’ need for nutrition—to keep their minds and bodies sharp throughout the day—with their food preferences and eating habits. Parents and guardians are also welcome to pack a peanut and tree nut-free lunch for their child.

Our menu includes a selection of fresh fruits and freshly prepared vegetables offered daily. A vegetarian option is also offered daily.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions
Teachers, the school chef, and dining staff are made aware of any student food allergies to ensure the safety of all students. Special dietary restrictions are accommodated whenever possible. Gluten-free bread, wraps, and pizza crust available upon request.

Local Produce and Partnerships
We partner with local farms and growers, such as Flat 12 Mushrooms, to bring fresh, healthy, and sustainably sourced produce to our menu.

Healthy Hands in the Kitchen
Students have the oppotunity to participate in Personal Touch's Healthy Hands in the Kitchen program, gaining hands-on experience with nutrition and cooking techniques. A small group work side by side with our school chef and dietitian to prepare a delicious and nutritious meal.

School Composting
Elmwood Franklin School partners with Farmer Pirates Compost to divert leftover food scraps from landfills, transforming organic materials into natural fertilizer that helps revitalize soil and support the growth of even more nutritious food.
