Mary Logan, School Psychologist

Since 2010, Mary has utilized her expertise in counseling, psychological evaluations, and Response to Intervention—a multi-tier approach to the early identification and support of students with learning and behavioral needs—to help students thrive. Mary earned her Bachelor's in Psychology at Roger Williams University and her Master's of Counseling and Certificate of Accelerated Graduate Study in School Psychology at Rhode Island College.

Student Referrals
If you would like to refer your child to meet with School Psychologist Mary Logan, please email mlogan@elmwoodfranklin.org. Concerns may include anxiety, depression, difficulty with friendships, communication, social skills, grief, eating disorders, and identity components, including race, gender, and sexuality.

In an emergency, please call crisis services at 716-834-3131 or 911 should your child need immediate attention.

Student Support Systems & Resources

Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)

Elmwood Franklin School responds to students with challenges—both academic and behavioral—through a framework of interventions and supports known as MTSS. This framework helps us identify students early so that they may receive assistance quickly.

The key components of MTSS include:​
  • Tiers of interventions that can be amplified in response to levels of need
  • Ongoing data collection and continual assessment
  • Schoolwide approach to expectations and supports
  • Parent involvement

Upper School Learning Lab
The Upper School Learning Lab provides support with study and executive functioning skills utilizing a variety of approaches. Learning Lab is a resource available to all Upper School students and can be accessed on a daily or as needed basis.
